We Love Our Volunteers

One of the ways PACN can operate with a small staff is due to our wonderful 100+ volunteers who work at PACN on a weekly basis. We have many volunteer opportunities available.
PACN conducts three trainings each year for women and men who want to volunteer as a Peer Counselor. A Peer Counselor meets with women, men and families experiencing unintended pregnancies. Those who come to PACN looking for help are often frightened and unsure of what to do. A Volunteer Peer Counselor offers acceptance, someone to talk to, hope, assistance and resources to help them during their pregnancy; having a positive impact on their lives both now and eternally.
It is proven that volunteering is good for your health. Volunteers enjoy longer lives, have higher functional ability and have lower rates of depression and heart disease.
When you volunteer at PACN, we win and you win!
Remaining Volunteer Training Dates for 2010: October 5, 7, 8, 12, 14, 15 @ Christ Church United Methodist. For more information or to register, please call 936-441-7755 or email pacn@pacn.org
Change for Life Campaign

/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/baby_bottle.jpg’ title=’Baby Bottle Campaign’>/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/baby_bottle.jpg’ alt=’Baby Bottle Campaign’ align=”left”/>To counter the Roe v Wade decision on January 22, 1973 that legalized abortions, President Reagan declared the Sunday closest to that date as Sanctity of Human Life (SOHL) Sunday.
This year PACN celebrated SOHL by inviting:
- Participating churches to engage in our “Change for Life” baby bottle campaign. PACN delivered baby bottles to the churches for their church families to take home and fill and refill with change, bills and/or checks. It was a great way for the whole family to get involved. And the response was overwhelming.
We thank all who participated and made this campaign a great success.
